Welcome from the Chair of Governors. Governing Body Register of Interests. On Wednesday, we took part in the Kings Heath Sports. Bells Farm are proud to be raising money for Sport. Our fortnightly Star Assembly took place this morning rewarding hardwork.
Good attendance is rewarding! Proud hard work all round! .
The children use the Play Stay and Chat session to make rock pools with their parents. They really enjoyed having their parents stay and play with them and getting to show them what they like to do at nursery. Thank you to everyone who attended. It was lovely to meet you all properly.
This week the Foundation Stage children also took part in their very own sports day. All the children were very well behaved and they put lots of effort into each event they took part in. There was a real buzz in the air and the children really enjoyed both the competitive and the non-competitive games. This week we have been consolidating our learning surrounding measures. We recapped the key vocabulary for capacity, length and weight and completed a variety of activities. We have moved on from non-standard units to using standard units including cm, m, g, kj, l and ml.
In Year 3 we had a discussion about when we grow up. We talked about our aspirations and dreams. Also, we talked about the things we wanted out of life and how we would get there. Some wanted to be teachers and some wanted to work with animals. It was really interesting to share our own thoughts. Measuring perimeter of our classroom. Bluebirds have been learning to measure the perimeter of our classroom. First we created a floor plan of the cla.
This week we looked at the effect of adding glycerine to the mixture. We found that the sticky substance made the bubbles last longer. We then watched some videos and found out why bubbles are spheres. We mixed PVA glue with the paint to give our pots a shiny finish.
Year 5 have been reading The Last Wild by Piers Torday. Well done Kestrels, we can really work on these skills next year using the wonderful books you will read as Eagles.

Room 137 is non-smoking with one queen-sized bed. During the winter months we are indoors working on the remodelling of rooms. Winter of 2013 has resulted in the remodelling of room 144; a double room with two new. Room 144 with two pillowtop queen beds.
